ASPEN, Colo. -- A California bank has filed legal papers to force actor Don Johnson to put his Aspen-area property up for sale at auction to pay a nearly $1 million debt. The bank said Johnson has refused to make payments on a loan he took out in October 2002. Johnson's publicist said, however, that the actor is in the process of refinancing the loan and the issue will become moot. Last September, a judge in Los Angeles County said Johnson owed the bank $921,891 and $21,891 in attorney fees.

Suit filed to make Streisand pay court costs

LOS ANGELES -- A man sued by singer Barbra Streisand for posting photos of her Malibu mansion on the Internet claims Streisand has refused to pay his $220,000 legal bill after he won the case. A judge in December dismissed Streisand's $10 million invasion of privacy lawsuit against Kenneth Adelman. Streisand was ordered to pay Adelman's legal fees and costs. Adelman, a retired software engineer, filed court papers Thursday seeking to force Streisand to pay the legal fees from the original case plus $15,000 spent to enforce the first order.
