The Southeast Missourian asked students at L.J. Schultz Middle School why they are looking forward to their summer vacation.
Rex Adams: "This summer I will be able to spend more time with my friends and family, and also with the Civil Air Patrol."
Laura Sheets: "I'm excited about several sports camps and improving my skills in basketball, softball and tennis."
Jeff Byrne: "I will be able to sleep late. I will also be getting a summer job and saving up to get ice hockey equipment."
Erinn Schermann: "I will be able to sleep, eat and swim. I will also get to spend more time with my parents and brothers."
Michelle Edwards: "I want to get some sun and sleep in. I won't have to walk my dog and feed my cats at the break of dawn."
Angie Golden: "I can see my family more often. In the summer, we only have to hear parents nag us, instead of both parents and teachers."
