Students at Franklin Elementary School share some of their New Year's resolutions.

Garth Otto: "I'm going to start drawing more so I can be a good artist. Also, I would stop fighting with my sisters and start reading more books so I can be a better reader."

Shanie Purl: "I want to improve my grades and do active things with younger children. I would like to get out and do more things with my friends."

Kyley Egson: "I will do my best in school. I will obey the teachers and not talk to friends in the classroom when the teacher is talking."

Caleb Greenley: "This year I will do my homework as soon as I get home, so I don't have to do it when I'm tired. I will also do all of my jobs before I watch TV."

Jennifer Gosche: "My New Year's resolution is to help more around the house."

Kensey Russell: "I resolve to start paying more attention to my parents and do what they tell me to do, so when I grow old and gray, I'll have good stories to tell to my grandchildren instead of saying my life was a bore."
