The Southeast Missourian asked students at L.J. Schultz Middle School what they liked to do in their free time.
Leanne Lee: Sometimes I like to read, especially fiction books. Sometimes I play tennis, basketball, ride my bike. I rollerblade with my friends in the neighborhood. We get together and do stuff."
Marion Harris: "I like to walk around with my friends. We go to each other's houses. I like running and playing soccer. Sometimes I go into the kitchen and put something together, like a meal or snacks."
Justin McMullin: "I like to play soccer on my traveling team. We travel to St. Louis to play just about every weekend. I also like football, movies, going to friend's houses and talking on the telephone."
Jason Sperling: "I like to play sports with my friends, like soccer, baseball, football and basketball. We go bike riding a lot. I like to look at my baseball cards. I try to make sets and get the good players."
Frank McGinty: "I like to play sports around the house with my friends. I also play on organized leagues. I like to ride motorcycles and four-wheelers. Sometimes I go to video arcades and play Nintendo."
Kristina St. Clair: "I practice my saxophone with a friend who plays clarinet. We like to go walking around the neighborhood. Sometimes I watch TV or play computer games with friends, or play board games."
