We have nursing staff in the field, local doctors on call and mental health people in full force. Incredible volunteers."

Chelsea Bower~man of Cape Girardeau: "I guess the only thing I've done is volunteer at the Heartland Cares Telethon as a worker at the concession stand. If there is still sandbagging I'd like to get into that."

Nick Barrett of Cape Girardeau: "We gave some cleaning supplies. Helping Blattner's Engineering from becoming flooded; that's where I work. I'd like to help with some cleanup stuff eventually."

Dan Niswonger of Cape Girardeau: "I just came back from vacation so at the first opportunity to volunteer I came to the Telethon. I encourage my children to volunteer. I'm donating my time where I believe it will do the most good. I couldn't wait to get back and help."

Cheryl Harris of Jackson: "I've sandbagged at Red Star and Dutchtown. I gave money at the Heartland Cares Telethon. I work a lot so it's hard to get out there. I'll be giving cleaning supplies from Wal-Mart."
