Students at Trinity Lutheran School tell why their mothers are special to them. Mothers' Day is Sunday, May 8.
Elizabeth Earl: "My mom helps me learn to do things. She washes my clothes and fixes food for me to eat. She also lets friends spend the night and says what I can't do. But the best reason of all is that she cares and she kisses and hugs me."
Brian Seabaugh: "My mother is special because she cooks and cleans and slaves over the stove. She takes me to basketball, baseball and soccer games."
Tara Allee: "My mom is special because she loves me and cares for me. She plays and works with me. Mom is there when I need her. She listens to my problems and we do fun things together."
Kathryn Perry: "My mom is special to me because when I do something very bad, she forgives me. When I don't feel good, she makes me feel better, and when I need help, she will help me. I love her."
Megan McDonald: "My mom is special because she helps me when I get hurt, and helps me with my homework. She does not waste anything. She always says something nice. She loves everybody on the block."
Tyler Blackwell: "My mother is special because she helps with Boy Scouts, is kind, loves me, is fair and is gentle. She also likes our house. She likes to play games with me. She especially likes to play `Sorry.'"
