What do you think of the new Major League Baseball team divisional alignment?
Kurt Moyer, Portage, Wis.
"I think geographically it's good. It's good for teams not to have to travel so far across country. Some of the divisions seem weaker than the others. I like it."
Larry Yeargain, Cape Girardeau
"I'm really in favor for it. I think there will be a lot more close races late in August and September when usually the season is over with."
Roger Robinson, St. Louis
"I think it's good. Because the Cardinals won that eastern league with the Mets, which really didn't make a lot of sense. This would make a lot of sense to me. I think it's a lot better. They're in a division and it keeps the rivalry up now."
Jeff Myers, Du Quoin, Ill.
"I don't like it because I don't think they should have that many teams in the playoffs. It dilutes the quality of the game. You know, it draws from the traditional ... only two teams get into the playoffs. When you start adding so many teams it takes something away from the quality of the game."
Carolyn Hopper, Cape Girardeau
"I don't think it's going to work too well. I think it will be too many teams. I think the playoffs are going to go on too long into October and even later. I guess we'll have to see how it works out but, right now I would rather have it the other way around."
Mark Vogt, St. Genevieve
"There shouldn't be any wild card teams because they shouldn't go to the playoffs. Now you're going to be battling for second place. It's going to take the excitement out of the pennant races."
