The Southeast Missourian asked people about their favorite event in the Winter Olympic games.
Stacy Jordan, Cape Girardeau:
"Hockey and the super giant slalom. Hockey, it's not as rough as I'd like it to be, but it's fun just to watch hockey and I like the super G because they're going about 60 miles per hour and it's fun to watch them wreck every once in a while."
Matt Stupakewicz, St. Louis:
"Speed skating, if I were to rank the top of the list ... with the downhill coming in a close second. Figure skating, I'd put at the bottom of the list."
Angie Heskett, Cape Girardeau:
"Figure skating, because I want to see Nancy Kerrigan kick Tonya Harding's butt. I like it all. I watch it all."
Kenny Hammel, Highland, Ill.:
"Watching the Americans win some medals in the downhill skiing, that's my favorite part. That's awesome. Tommy Moe is making a name for himself."
Will Spencer, Kennett:
"The skiing, plus the skating. You can't miss that with all the media around it ... Tonya Harding and Kerrigan. But, I like the men's figure skating."
Matt Bonastia, St. Louis:
"Hockey! It has the most action, it's the most exciting. I like downhill skiing."
