The Southeast Missourian asked people what they were doing to prepare for the bitter cold temperatures and stormy weather this week.

"I have been buying groceries and stocking up a little bit. I am not obligated to go to work on Monday so I am just going to stay inside."

"We're going to do some shopping and get some salt. Then we're going to stay home and watch the football for the rest of the day."

"First thing I am going to make sure I have enough groceries. I might go out and shovel if I have to, but I don't have to go to work Monday."

"We're going to stay inside and buy some extra food. We are not going to stock up but just get a few things for the rest of the weekend and go from day to day this week."

"I am just going to stay home read, watch the television and just relax. My husband just went to Florida for a new job so I don't have to go out."

"I have not heard much about the storm, but were going to grab some food and stock up for a while. Hopefully it won't last too long."
