SIKESTON, Mo. -- Southbound Interstate 55 in Scott County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction from Route M at Scott City to Highway 77 at Benton, Mo., as contractor crews begin the asphalt overlay. Weather permitting, the work will be done from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily, Monday through May 23, including some Saturdays. The work zone will be marked with signs.
