Pat Boone will be guest speaker at the Vitae Society's third annual pro-life benefit dinner Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn. Abut 500 people are expected to attend the dinner, which will raise money for the Vitae Society's media education campaign, said Vitae Society member Bernice Buehrle. Th campaign sponsors pro-life radio and television commercials aired in Missouri and parts of Illinois, Kansas and Kentucky. "Tese are education commercials to dispel myths about abortion," Buehrle said. "Research shows the number of abortions go down and attitudes change when people see these commercials."Boone, a recording artist, actor, television personality and radio host, has been actively involved in anti-pornography and anti-abortion campaigns for years, Buehrle said.
Others on the program are Dr. Arthur Mallory, former president of the Missouri Baptist Convention, and musician Russell Newport.
