A Cape Girardeau man was charged this week with a Jackson burglary. Charles E. Depauw, 23, of 401 Fort St., is accused of breaking into the home of his girlfriend's sister at 4012 E. Jackson Blvd. on June 10 and stealing a Kodak Easyshare printer dock and photo printing paper, according to a probable cause statement in the case.
The statement alleges Depauw returned both the stolen printing paper and the printer dock to Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau for a $186.68 refund. Depauw was charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor stealing for the crime, and a $10,000 bond was set in the case.
According to the probable cause statement, Depauw has several stealing offenses on his criminal record and was currently on parole for stealing.
