Ghosts and goblins of all ages are invited to an evening of Halloween happenings Friday at the A.C. Brase Arena Building.
The event begins with a coloring contest for children ages 3-7 at 6 p.m. Older children can enter a pumpkin carving contest at the same time.
Children must provide their own pumpkin and carving tools for the contest.
A costume carnival will begin at 7 p.m. and children can enter a costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for the funniest, most creative, cutest and scariest costumes.
Darren Davis will perform a magic show at 8 p.m. and a hay maze and other games will be set up inside the building.
To register for the contests, call the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department at 334-5421. All events are free.
