A Park Hills, Missouri, man was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic crash on Highway 34, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

A Park Hills, Missouri, man was killed Monday afternoon in a traffic crash on Highway 34, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Mark A. Lindsey, 29, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt west on Highway 34 two miles west of Grassy, Missouri, when he apparently lost control of the car, the patrol reported.

The Cobalt crossed the center line and was hit by an eastbound 1993 Chevrolet 1500 pickup driven by 22-year-old Donald R. Cureton of Hiram, Missouri, the patrol reported.

Cureton, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Saint Francis Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries, the patrol reported. Lindsey, who was using a safety device at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at 4:14 p.m. and was taken to Hutchings Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri, the patrol reported.
