JACKSON -- Plans are under way to develop a drive-through Christmas display in the Jackson City Park.

The Jackson Merchants Association, along with the Jackson Board of Aldermen and Park Board, is inviting local churches and organizations to design lighted scenes or greetings to be displayed. Lighting will begin at dusk on Dec. 2 and continue through New Year's Eve.

The city will provide electrical hookups, but each group should provide extension cords and be responsible for setting up and taking down displays.

Present plans are for the drive to begin at the park entrance near the swimming pool off Highway 61, follow the road along Hubble Creek and continue to North Union Street.
