@body copy_bullet:n Parents Without Partners will hold a general meeting/orientation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at Riverside Regional Library, Union and Adams streets in Jackson. The meeting is free and open to the public. An election of officers for the 2008-2009 board will be held at this meeting. There will be no educational program. Attendees are invited to bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play cards.

• PWP will meet at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 2 at Creative Ewe Pottery in Cape Girardeau. There is no cost for members' children or two grandchildren up to age 18.
• An amigo dinner will be held Feb. 3 in conjunction with the Super Bowl at the home of one of the members. The dinner is to welcome all new members. There is no cost for new members. Current members are asked to bring a covered dish or contribute toward the cost of the food.
• PWP will attend line dance lessons from 7 to 9 p.m., with beginner lessons at 6 p.m., Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at Eagles Aerie No. 3775, 321 N. Spring Ave. in Cape Girardeau. The event is open to the public, and there is a fee.
• PWP will host a singles' support group from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Riverside Regional Library. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play cards.
• A Valentine's Day Dance sponsored by PWP will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Feb. 9 at the VFW in Cape Girardeau. The event is open to the public, All singles and couples are welcome. The cost is discounted for PWP members. Music by J & K Sound System. Before the dance, an installation of officers ceremony and dinner will be held at My Daddy's Cheesecake in Cape Gir-ardeau. Incoming and outgoing board members and their guests should meet there at 5 p.m.
• There will be a board/orientation meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at Riverside Regional Library. The meeting is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to bring a guest or prospective member and stay to play games.
• PWP will attend an afternoon sports show at the 42nd Annual Indoor Swap Meet from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb 17 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau. There is an admission fee, but parking is free. The group will meet at 11:45 a.m. at Grecian Steak House for lunch before attending the show.

• PWP will host a family activity and attend the WWE wrestling event at 7 p.m. Feb. 29 at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girar-deau. There is an admission fee. PWP will pay a portion of the fee for members' children or two grandchildren up to age 18.
