The Practical Parenting Partnership program will sponsor an activity night tonight at Jefferson Elementary School, 520 S. Minnesota.
The event will be held from 7-8 p.m. Children in kindergarten through third grade, plus their parents, are welcome.
The theme of the night is "Adventures in Dinosaurland." There will be fossil making, work with dinosaur skeletons, sponge painting, games and other art projects.
Southeast Missouri State University students enrolled in the "Working With Parents" class will assist with the program.
On Monday, the program will hold a family night at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Students K-3 and their parents are again welcome at the event, which runs from 7-8 p.m.
Children and their parents will participate together in reading activities. The Southeast will again assist.
The family night will be sponsored by AmeriFirst Bank.
Parents who don't have library cards are encouraged to bring a form of identification and proof of address in order to apply for one.
