SIKESTON -- The Parent Action Coalition of Southeast Missouri, an advocacy and support group for parents of children with disabilities, will hold a meeting on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Kenny Rodgers Cereal Palsy Center in Sikeston.
The PAC has been established to fulfill a need for educating people about the potential disabled children and adults have to make positive contributions to society. Another goal of the PAC is to offer moral support and information to families who are directly involved with disabilities.
A resource center, located at the Kenny Rodgers CP Center, is being established for all interested persons. The center will offer a video tape library, medical and legislative materials pertaining to children with disabilities, as well as specific information regarding educational systems and specific disabling conditions.
For more information, contact the CP Center at 472-0397, President Bob Dale at 379-3571, or Vice-President Pam Lenox at 624-7754.
Future meetings will be held every third Tuesday of each month at the Kenny Rodgers CP Center at 7:00 p.m.
