PAPER OFFERS `SAME DAY MAIL' PROMOTION IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

The Southeast Missourian newspaper will be delivered in Southern Illinois on the same day of publication through a new "Same Day Mail" promotion being offered in Southern Illinois zip code 629 through the U.S. Postal Service.

"This is a great opportunity for customers in the 629 zip code of Southern Illinois," said Mike Sturm, Southeast Missourian circulation director. "People there will be receiving the news on time as it happens."

The service does not include the Sunday edition of the paper.

The 629 zip code area includes Carbondale, Anna-Jonesboro, Olmsted, Mounds, Mound City, Cairo, and a number of other communities.

Subscriptions $24.95 for three months, $49.90 for six months and $99.80 for a year must be paid before delivery starts.
