SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak in southwest Missouri at a private college.
Palin is to speak on Dec. 2 at the College of the Ozarks about patriotism, citizenship and civic engagement. The Springfield News-Leader reported Tuesday that Palin will be the featured speaker for a community convocation.
Palin became the governor of Alaska in 2006 and resigned earlier this year.
The College of the Ozarks is a Christian school near Branson with about 1,400 students. Students there work instead of pay tuition.
