PAGEANT ANNOUNCES AWARDS

Applications are now being accepted for the ninth annual Miss Northwest Missouri Scholarship pageant.
The pageant will be Jan. 27 at the Charles Johnson Theater on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.
The pageant is open to unmarried women between 17 and 24 who lives, attends school or works in Missouri.

The winner, Miss Northwest Missouri 1996, will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
The pageant, sponsored by the Maryville Jaycees, is a preliminary pageant to Miss Missouri and Miss America.
