BENTON, Mo. -- A male guest at a Chaffee-area home was arrested Thursday and faces drug charges.
Joshua Franklin Baker, 31, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernailia, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies Danny Finley and Matt Scroggins responded to 522 County Highway 223 near Chaffee after receiving a report of a disturbance in progress, the release said.
Finley met with the homeowner, who told him Baker had been an overnight guest and she believed he had been using drugs inside the home, according to the release.
The woman gave deputies permission to search the home, where paraphernailia belonging to Baker was found. After a subsequent investigation, Baker was arrested and provided a statement admitting that pills and paraphernalia items found during the search were his, the release said.
Baker was transported to the Scott County Jail.
