Two Southeast Missouri State University piano students will present their junior recitals Thursday night at Academic Auditorium.
The joint recital of Susan Ho and Akiko Kamimura will begin at 7:30 p.m. The recital is free and open to the public.
Both Ho and Kamimura are students of James Sifferman.
Ho, who is from Malaysia, has won a number of musical awards, including first prize in the collegiate division at the Missouri Music Teachers Association State Convention. She was one of 19 Southeast students to win the Missouri Student Achievement and Recognition Award. She is also president of the Chinese Students Association on campus.
Kamimura, who is from Japan, has also won in musical competitions and will be studying this summer in Salzburg, Austria.
During the recital, the students will perform music by Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel, George Crumb, and Rachmanihoff.
