The deadline for making nominations for the Otto F. Dingeldein Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts is Sept. 1.
The annual award presented by the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri recognizes individuals or organizations whose support of or participation in the arts has been outstanding.
Among the criteria used are: impact on community enrichment; local, state or national recognition; and length of time involved in the arts.
To make a nomination, phone the Arts Council office at (314) 334-9233 or send mail to P.O. Box 901, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63702-0901.
Past recipients include: Otto f. Dingeldein, Marjorie Suedekum, Jake K. Wells, Dan B. Cotner, Jean Bell Mosley, Aileen Lorberg, Jack and Betty Palsgrove, Judith Crow, Wendy Rust, Ruth Alice Knote, Grant Lund, James V. Parker, Miki Gudermuth, Frances Crowley, Carol B. Horst, Don and Beverly Strohmeyer, Bill and Jan Chamberlain and Nick Leist.
The award will be presented at the Arts Council's annual membership party in September.
