The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team bounced back from a tough loss Friday night to pick up an Ohio Valley Conference victory Saturday afternoon.
The Otahkians, one day after losing at home in five games to Jacksonville State, knocked off visiting Samford 30-26, 30-26, 27-30, 30-15 in front of about 125 fans at Houck Field House.
Southeast improved to 5-13 overall and evened its OVC record at 4-4. Samford fell to 4-13 and 2-6.
Jill Miller led a balanced Southeast attack with 12 kills. Jamie Baumstark and Brittany Hastings had nine kills apiece, while Jessica Koeper and Jessica Wilfong both added eight kills.
Lauren Scannell led in digs with 31, followed by Miller (20), Koeper (18) and Shannon Muesenfechter (12). Baumstark recorded 38 assists.
