The Thanks Badge for outstanding service was awarded to Clarinda Miller of Cobden, Ill., Beth Guth of Perryville, Marty Sadler of Anna, Ill., and Barb Scheper of Jackson during the Otahki Girl Scout Council's annual Volunteer Appreciation program.
The volunteers have all been involved in Girl Scouting for over 10 years and have held positions on the troop, service unit, association and council levels. They are also active in their church, schools and communities.
The Honor Pin was awarded to Mike Shivelbine of Cape Girardeau and Cheryl Amos of Jackson. The Honor Pin is awarded to volunteers whose performance is "beyond the expectation of positions held."
Betsy Ferguson of Patton, Judy Sneathen of Cape Girardeau, Pam Stamps of Perryville, Mary Zang of Anna, Ill., Dixie Davie of Gordonville, April Rhodes of Jackson, and Debra Toney of Piedmont were awarded the Appreciation Pin. They have been active volunteers for at least five years.
Receiving awards for Outstanding Leader were Retha Eurales of Alexander County, Ill.; Kathy Naber, Becki Essner and Judy Sneathen, all of Cape Girardeau; Tina Blattel of Scott City; Jane Ruble of Patton; Karen Rudert and Shelly Prevallet, both of Perryville; Tracy Leathers of Pulaski County, Ill.; Sheryl Ribbing of Anna, Ill.; Joy Baker of Jackson; and Teresa Swesey of Wayne County.
Outstanding volunteers were Darold Dunning of Alexander County; Karen Roques, Cathy Gooden and Kim Espinoza, all of Cape Girardeau, Jeff Bohannon of Scott City; Julie Bynum of Patton; Rick Essner of Perryville; Angel Rader of Pulaski; Gretel Nelson of Anna; Patti Eftink and April Rhodes, both of Jackson; and Michelle Littles of Wayne County.
