O.T. "Mac" McGregor, 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, March 6, 1995, at Missouri Veterans Home in St. James.
He was born Dec. 10, 1915, in Bollinger County, son of Arthur and Minta Rhodes McGregor. He married the former Adrianna Seyer.
McGregor lived in Cape Girardeau when he was a young man. He later moved to St. Louis and was police commissioner in Hazelwood many years. He later was safety supervisor with United Transport and worked in St. Louis, Dallas, Texas, and Kansas City.
He moved back to Cape Girardeau in 1964 and was a cigar salesman with Culbro Corp. of New York. He was head of security at St. Francis Medical Center for a time, and after retiring was a school bus driver in Cape Girardeau.
McGregor served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Horvath of Chicago, Lee Krifka of St. Louis; a brother, Clyde McGregor of Fredericktown, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Friday. An Elks service will be held at 7.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Chaplain Arthur Kelley officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military rites by VFW Post 3838.
