The Oregon Ballet Theatre will entertain a Southeast Missouri audience Feb. 25 with an 8 p.m. performance at Academic Auditorium on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.
The ballet is part of this season's Community Concert series. Attendance is restricted to members, and membership information can be obtained by calling Ed Kaiser at 335-2953.
The Oregon Ballet Theatre will perform elegant classical dances along with stunning contemporary works. The company, based in Portland, is comprised of 23 dancers selected from throughout the country.
Artistic director James Canfield is a former principal dancer with the Joeffrey Ballet. The company presents a broad range of ballets, including full-length classics such as "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Nutcracker," as well as 20th century works by Balanchine and Limon.
