Oran to retire deceased firefighter's number; 1,000 expected to attend funeral

Madigan's funeral will be at 10 a.m. at Miner Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri, and will include a ceremony by Oran, Missouri, firefighters to retire Madigan's firefighter number.

Madigan, 60, of Oran was a dispatcher with Scott County for 18 years and a firefighter with the Oran Volunteer Fire Department for 21 years.
Madigan died at home Saturday.
