ORAN -- Laramie Klipfel, a junior at Oran High School, is Missouri's top keyboardist.

She won first place in keyboarding applications at the state Future Business Leaders of America leadership conference April 24 and 25.

Students competing in the keyboarding competition had 30 minutes to type eight documents. They were scored based on how many were completed without errors. Klipfel completed five error-free documents.

She advances to the national Future Business Leaders of America leadership conference in Orlando, Fla. June 30-July 3.

Klipfel is a student of Rene Pingel at Oran High School.
