The Sikeston Department of Public Safety and Dexter, Mo., police have solved an Oran, Mo., burglary that was reported in January, according to a news release sent out by Sikeston police.

The burglary was reported by Gary Kesler of Kesler Farms in January, when Kesler told police that his Oran farm office was broken into. Detectives in Dexter and Sikeston, Mo., began to investigate several forged checks that were reported stolen in the burglary, which led to the arrest of 31-year-old Chad Goza and 41-year-old Rebecca Colbert-Penrose, both of 221 Missouri St., in Sikeston.

Stolen property from the Kesler farm was found at 221 Missouri when a search warrant was served, according to the Sikeston news release.

Goza is charged with second-degree burglary and four counts of forgery. Colbert-Penrose is charged with burglary and receiving stolen property. All charges are in Scott County court.
