Every year the Noon Optimists toil over hot cauldrons of chili to raise money for their many projects benefiting the youth of Cape Girardeau.
Spokesman Cory Daniel said March 3 the A.C. Brase Arena Building will once again be filled with people wishing they had the secret recipe.
Carry outs are also available. The Noon Optimists are major funders of Malaina's playground -- an all access playground for children with disabilities. Daniel says over $100,000 have gone in to local parks as well as the indoor soccer league and a student oratorical contest. Chili Day runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $6.
