Fifteen spots remain in the June 17 Beginners Internet class offered by the Southeast Missourian and Southeast Missouri State University. Fifteen spots remain in the June 17 Beginners Internet class offered by the Southeast Missourian and Southeast Missouri State University.

The class will be held from 1-3 p.m. in the new College of Business in Dempster Hall. The cost is $10.

The class is geared to beginners, and will cover an overview of the Internet and how to use a browser. It will also take surfers to a wide range of useful Internet sites. Each person has his/her own computer with high-speed Internet access.

Past participants have ranged in age from 8 to 95 years old.

Participants receive a number of useful handouts featuring top sites and web terminology.

Five staff members of SEMissourian.com, the official Web site of the Southeast Missourian, will be on hand for the class.

The staff has been teaching the classes twice each month for about a year. No classes will be held in July, but they will resume in the fall. An intermediate class is also planned for the fall.

Those wishing to register in the June 17 class can call 336-6611 to register.
