UNION CITY, Ill. -- A traffic accident in Anna resulted in the death of an Alto Pass, Ill., resident early Saturday morning. UNION CITY, Ill. -- A traffic accident in Anna resulted in the death of an Alto Pass, Ill., resident early Saturday morning.
Berry Pearson, 26, died as a result of injuries suffered when he lost control of his car on Illinois Route 146 in Anna just after midnight on Saturday. The car struck a guywire and overturned, and Pearson was ejected from the car. He was the only passenger.

He was taken from the scene by airflight to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where he was pronounced dead as a result of head injuries.
Illinois State Police are still investigating the incident.
