One car accident leads to second

Two vehicle crashes occurred Tuesday morning on Scott County Route W, a mile west of Oran, Mo., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Sarah Pobst, 21, of Bell City, Mo., lost control of a 1997 Nissan at 7:40 a.m. The vehicle ran off the right side of the road and overturned. She suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Ferguson Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

A few minutes later, a 1999 Kia driven by Rose Wolfert, 51, of Perkins, Mo., slowed for the accident. Her vehicle was struck from behind by a 1994 Chevrolet driven by Garrett Janson, 17, of Advance, Mo. Wolfert and a passenger, William Wolfert II, 14, were taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau with minor injuries. No citations were issued.
