Mrs. Howell McMackins, Cape Girardeau: "I don't like it, but the price of everything goes up. There will be more faxing and people will pay more bills in person."

Ed Miller, Sikeston: "Everyone else has to tighten their belts these days. It seems the Postal Service should also. But we have to use the mail."

Kathy Garland, Cape Girardeau: "I was a little shocked when it went up to 29 cents, so a 3 cent increase is a little bit ridiculous to me. I feel they could cut some government waste."

Peggy Pruett, Cape Girardeau: "I think it's a big jump. At 32 cents, it sounds like it's very expensive. Maybe faxing will get more popular, especially locally."

Brad Moore, Cape Girardeau: "I don't have a problem with it, because it still is probably the cheapest way to move something from one part of the country to the other."
