This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "Do you think the Cape Girardeau School Board was correct in dismissing Dr. Neyland Clark?"
Della Buckman, Cape Girardeau
"No, I think he was doing a good job."
J.W. Buckman, Cape Girardeau
"No. He had a three-year contract. I thought he was a good man."
Linda Cooper, Cape Girardeau
"I do. It was a good thing for Cape and the school system. I think the question of paying him when he was supposed to stay to the end of the school year was wrong. Instead they let him go. He should have stayed until the end of the school year. I think the payment they gave him should have been less than what he received. I think they were right in letting him go."
Kim Snell, Cape Girardeau
"Yes, I think they should dismiss him because he misused the funding, and he wasn't up-front with the credit card use. I just don't believe he was honest with people."
Julie Glaus, Delta
"I think so. There have just been some kind of dirty things that have been going on and I don't think he probably had the respect anyway. So if they get rid of him and get somebody else it would be better for the school."
