This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "How do you feel about people who don't stand up while the National Anthem is being played at a sporting event?"

"They're not showing respect for the country, a country to which our forefathers came and strived to make a new life for them and the freedom that we have. I know there are a lot of things that are not as good as they could be, but we are always striving to do better."
