The Southeast Missourian asked people: "Do you think Hollywood movies contain too much sex and violence?"

Rhonda Smith

No, I don't think they do. Movies today seem to be showing more of a reality than fiction in our society.

Bo Hutchings

No, I don't think movies are showing too much. If people don't want to watch a movie because they think it has too much sex or violence, then they have the right to not go and watch them.

I don't think so. People have a right in this country to see or not see what they want to. Movie makers wouldn't make a movie that they thought was too inappropriate. They'd lose money if they did.

Kurt Quade

I think it's debatable. Some movies may take the sex and violence a little too far but that's what sells these days.

Brian Bowles

No, I don't think movies do. I think the rating system takes care of informing people of what's to be seen in a movie. People have the option to not watch a movie or even block things out on their television. It's still a free country.
