This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "How do you feel about the placement of a state juvenile facility at Klaus Park in Jackson?"
Nathan Mathis, Cape Girardeau
"It would probably be OK with me. It would be good revenue for Cape County. I think it would probably be good for Cape County."
"Margie Melson, Jackson
"Anything that creates jobs is good."
Ken Peyton, Cape Girardeau
"I think it would be wonderful and I welcome the jobs into the community. I think it should house about 10,000 juveniles because we have that many that need housing here in this town."
Beth Tilghman, Cape Girardeau
"I think it would be an excellent thing for Jackson and the surrounding community."
Darrel Minor, Kelso
"I think it's a good idea. I think it's better at Klaus Park than a residential area. Occassionaly they try to put them in a residential area. I think that's better. It's a little more isolated from the regular population. Anything that brings jobs into the Cape area is good."
