"I think it's too much money. The money that was spent you could get two above average players that will do just as much as he can."

"I think it's wonderful. The guy's already turned around and gave a million of it back to charity. He took less money than he had to take to stay under the cap to help them sign Stottlemyre. He's the premier home run hitter in the majors right now. Why wouldn't they sign him?"

"I think it's a good thing because he's going to give a million back per year to abused children which is pretty cool. He's giving back to the community which St. Louis definitely needs."

"I think it's great as long as they get rid of Gant and Eckersly."
