This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think of the senate proposal to eliminate the vehicle inspection in Missouri?
Mary Sloan, Cape Girardeau
"I think it's good because it's too much of a hassle to keep going every year."
David Kaempfer, Cape Girardeau
"I'm opposed to it. It's not that big of a problem for anyone and you feel a little more assured that there are some safer cars on the road."
Alden Field, Sikeston
"I think they ought to keep it. Just to make sure that vehicles are safe, I guess."
Scott Bernachi, Cape Girardeau
"I don't think it's a good thing. I think they should have the inspection every year so that way we know what's wrong with our vehicles because if we happen to be going down the road and one of the axles happen to snap ... well, that's ... actually would be our fault and the state's fault and I think they should go ahead and keep that going.
Randy South, Cape Girardeau
"I don't think it should be yearly but, I don't think they should do away with it altogether. I think it should be every two or three years."
