On the Smooth Roads list

Projects in Cape Girardeau, Scott and Perry counties the Missouri Department of Transportation has included in its Smooth Roads Initiative, with costs:

* Route K: Resurface from Highway 25 to U.S. 61 in Cape Girardeau County, $1.18 million.

* Interstate 55: Resurface from Fruitland to Scott City in Cape Girardeau and Scott counties, $8.23 million.

* U.S. 61: Resurface from Jackson to the South Kingshighway exit ramp with I-55 in Cape Girardeau County, $4.42 million.

* Interstate 57: Resurface from the Illinois state line to I-55 in Mississippi and Scott counties, $6.83 million.

* I-55: Resurface from Ste. Genevieve County line to Fruitland in Perry and Cape Girardeau counties, $6.7 million.

* Route K: Resurface from I-55 to Route N, $682,000.

* I-55: Resurface from Scott City interchange to U.S. 62 in Scott and New Madrid counties, $7.24 million.

* U.S. 62: Resurface from Highway 114 to I-55 in Scott County.
