ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Antique tractors will parade, balance and pull, eggs and skillets will be tossed and beds will be raced in Saturday's 25th annual Old Timer's Day.

Greg Unger, a member of the sponsoring East Perry County Jaycees, says 50 to 75 antique tractors can be expected for the event, which begins at 9 a.m. at the East Perry County Fairgrounds and continues until 10 p.m.

Admission is free.

Featured tractors will be from the 1930s through the 1950s that have been fixed up and are used exclusively for tractor pulls. Several of the tractors remain in use on the farm, Unger said.

The tractor parade begins at about noon.

Among the non-tractor events are a wagon backing contest, an egg toss, a skillet toss, a bed race and an old-timer's softball game.

A craft show, an apple butter-making demonstration, a car show by the Highway Rodders and country rock music by R.J. Pronger are scheduled.

The antique tractor events are sponsored by the River Hills Antique Tractor Club.

Refreshments will be sold.
