Southeast Missouri State University officials are calling Southeast Night at Busch a success, with 300 tickets sold for Saturday night's game.

In addition, many bought tickets through the Cardinals organization and were able to sit with the group from Southeast Missouri, which was recognized on the public address system.

There was a full house at the pregame party at the Drury Plaza.

Jane Stacy, director of alumni services and development, said many alumni use the event to gather. Delta Chi fraternity, for instance, met up at the game.

"It's difficult to do things in St. Louis without running into Southeast alums," Stacy said.

The Cardinals beat the Kansas City Royals 8-1.
