Meacy Spurlock

SIKESTON -- Meacy Spurlock, 92, died Friday, July 25, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Center.

She was born Jan. 10, 1905, in Poplar Bluff, daughter of James and Missouri Belle Ward Warbington. She and Delbert Spurlock were married in June 1922. He died Nov. 23, 1959.

Spurlock was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bud Spurlock of Sikeston; two daughters, Wanda Couch of Sikeston and Betty Pearce of Ypsilanti, Mich.; a brother, H.M. Warbington of Royal Oak, Mich.; a sister, Wilma Wilson of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Jim Guffie and the Rev. Billie Fair officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
