Oak Ridge high school administrators, faculty members and parents were present when more than 20 students were recognized for their scholarship at a recent honors banquet in the school cafeteria.
These students were honored for making the Honor Roll the past three quarters: Cassie Ludwig, Alicia Kellogg, Stefanie Buchheit, Charlie Phillips, Lexie Myers, Chris Lorenz, Laura Glueck, Seth Stahlheber, Lindsay Robinson, Amy Pohlman, Jennifer Hrabik, Adam Hahs, Thomas Grantham, Jeff Cowan, Keith Zoellner, Elizabeth Slinkard, Julie Myers, Beau Morrison, Dericka Meyr, Anthony Hoffman, and Amanda Buchheit.
School District superintendent Cheri Fuemmeler gave special recognition to seniors Joleta Ludwig and Deanna Schreiner who earned straight As for four years.
Guest speaker Robert Cranmer, a coach, shared a "Formula 10 for Success" with the group.
The formula cited setting goals, working hard, stopping to say thank you, being positive about yourself, being an example and a leader, following the rules and respecting others, living everyday to the fullest, giving time to others, continuously trying to improve yourself and stopping and smelling the roses.
Sponsors of the event were Jackson Tire Center, Union Planters Bank, Oak Ridge Parent-Teacher Organization, Martin Marietta Aggregates, Oak Ridge Community Teachers Association, Oak Ridge Athletic Boosters Club and R&B Mechanical Contractors.
