OAK RIDGE -- Mary McLane, who attends Oak Ridge R-6 High School, has been named a United States National Award winner in mathematics.

She was nominated for the national award by mathematics teacher Carole DelVecchio.

Her name will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Official Yearbook, published nationally.

The academy selects USAA winners upon the exclusive recommendations of teachers, coaches, counselors or other school sponsors and upon the standards set forth by the academy.

She has also been named to Who's Who Among American High School Students, and an All American Scholar.

McLane is the daughter of Bob and Karen McLane.
