OAK RIDGE -- Rebecca Mangels of Oak
Ridge has been awarded a Regents' Scholarship and Missouri
Leadership Award to attend Southeast Missouri State University
this fall.
The Regents' Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who
graduate in the top 10 percent of their class and who score above
the 90th percentile on the ACT or SAT test. The award covers full-
time fees per semester and is renewable for four years.
The Missouri Leadership Award is a one-year award designed for
Missouri students who have demonstrated leadership and academic abilities.
Mangels, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verlin Mangels of rural Oak
Ridge, is scheduled to graduate this spring from Jackson High School. She
currently is employed by the Jackson law firm of Buerkle, Beeson
and Ludwig.
