An Oak Ridge man is $100,000 richer after purchasing a Missouri Lottery $100,000 Mega Fortune Scratchers ticket.
John Nix, 39, bought the winning ticket June 15 at Motomart in Perryville, Mo., and uncovered the top prize while in the parking lot, the Missouri Lottery said in a news release. He traveled to the St. Louis Lottery office June 18 to claim the prize.
According to the release, Nix and his family plan to use the money for a summer trip, to add on to their house and to pay down their mortgage.
The $100,000 Mega Fortune officially began May 26, and more than $14 million in prizes, including seven top prizes, remain in the game.
